SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR KIDS AND ADULTS!!!  May 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2010, 8:45am-9:30am+!  Please join us as we gather to learn more about our relationships with each other and with God.  We encourage you to bring your neighbors, your friends, and even your friends’ neighbors!  We have so much to share with all of you!!!

Adult Forum:

The Adult Forum continues with Studies of the Book of Ephesians, presented by Evan Sperline and the Reverend Steve Myers.

May 2:         “Are We Building Beyond Measure?”  Focus Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-21.  The life and the growth of the church flows from the truly wondrous and infinitely immeasurable love of God in Christ. 

May9:        “Are We Building as One?”  Focus Scripture: Ephesians 4:1-16.  The Spirit binds us together to build up the church, uniting us in “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” 

May16:      “Are We Building Up?”  Focus Scripture: Ephesians 4:25-5:2 and 5:15-20.  As beloved children we are learning to live in imitation of our heavenly Father, secure and joyful in God’s love for us through Jesus. 

May23:      “Are We Building to Withstand?”  Focus Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-20.  Find strength in the Lord.  Be steadfast and prepared to withstand attack.  Be bold in preaching the mystery of the gospel.

May 2            “Imagine”  Revelation 21:1-6 - For the youngest, exploring God’s dream through puppet, story, snack and options: binoculars, transformed tears, service project.  For our elementary schoolers, imagining God’s dream through identifying what is not in God’s dream, Bible research, ojos de Dios, prayers, coded message, song and transforming tears.

May 9           “Disciples Together”  Acts 16:9-15 - For the youngest, exploring Lydia’s conversion to Christianity through  puppet, song, story, poster and options: welcome sign, finger painting, doorknob hanger.  For our elementary schoolers, exploring through song, reading and map, mobile, prayer positions, denominational missions, song and game, and showing hospitality.

May 16         “Breaking Chains!”  Acts 16:16-34 - For the youngest, exploring Paul and Silas witnessing through puppet, song, story, poster, snack and options: wall hanging, open door cards and singing.  For our elementary schoolers, discovering comfort through story and song, Bible research, prayer beads, litany, review, song, and prayers for others.  

May 23          “Gathered and Scattered!”  Acts 2:1-21 - For the youngest, celebrating God’s spirit through puppet, story, poster, chant and options: pinwheel, snack, celebration streamers.  For our elementary schoolers, celebrating Pentecost through puzzle, reader’s theater, pinwheels, badges, Bible stories, song and telling others.
