welcome

Thanks for stopping by our web site. We have a lot of things to be excited about and would like to share them with you. This is a new site that is being developed, so check back often to see what we are up to.

In order to serve the community of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and the people of Ephrata, we are focused on helping you develop as a disciple - a student and follower of Jesus.

Our ministry is an expression of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Our focus is Discipleship - in word and deed. We believe that we all are called to be followers, disciples of Jesus and as such, to serve each other in the same love that Jesus shows us. We hope that through this site you will be introduced and invited to participate with us in this exciting journey.

Advent, which begins November 29, is about the "coming days." God's people have always lived in great expectation, but the expectation finds specific, repeated enunciation in the texts appointed for these four weeks. The ancients anticipated a "righteous Branch to spring up for David." The Thessalonians awaited "the coming of our Lord Jesus with all the saints." Our Lord's contemporaries hoped for the time "to stand before the Son of Man." With them we eagerly await the coming days: another Christmas celebration, a second coming, and the advent of our Lord in word and supper.
